Daily Average of New Cases

The following charts are meant to aid understanding whether the outbreak is growing, leveling off, or declining. The charts present a rolling 7-day average of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases over time for the Coastal Health District, and for each county.

Case dates recorded on this chart are the dates our Department is notified of a positive COVID-19 test. To create the rolling average, each day we average the number of newly diagnosed cases over the previous 7 days.

*Note: Beginning Nov. 16, the 7-day rolling average in this graph is provided by the Georgia Dept. of Public Health. Prior to Nov. 16, the 7-day rolling average was calculated by the Coastal Health District, but did not account for corrections and reductions to the state database made in the previous 7 days.
